The AQUASTAG Water Engineering Protocol replaces informal judgement with defined checkpoints and measurable outcomes, from first water sample to signed handover.
Why it exists
Most water treatment failures are process failures
When a plant underperforms, the cause is rarely a defective component. Far more often it is a system sized from an assumed water quality, commissioned without anyone measuring the output, and handed over with no documented baseline — so when performance drifts two years later, there is nothing to compare against.
AWEP exists to close those gaps. It is a sequence of checkpoints that a project has to pass before it moves forward, and it applies equally to a domestic purifier and to a 10,000 LPH industrial plant. The depth of work scales; the discipline does not change.
It is an internal protocol, operating within our ISO 9001 quality management system. We are deliberate about saying so — it is a standard we hold ourselves to, not a badge awarded by someone else.

Analyse
Feed water is tested and the duty is defined in writing before any equipment is proposed. Design parameters are set against measured chemistry, never against a district average or an assumption.
Verify
Component specifications are checked against the approved bill of materials. Vessel ratings, resin and media grades, pump duty and instrumentation are confirmed to match the design, not merely to be adequate.
Measure
At commissioning the plant is run and its actual output measured — quality, flow, recovery, pressure differentials — and recorded against the design figures on a signed data sheet.
Sign off
Post-installation compliance is confirmed against the checklist and countersigned. Handover includes the as-built drawing, the commissioning record, the O&M manual and the operator training log.

About AWEP
Is AWEP an external certification?
No. AWEP is our own internal engineering protocol — the discipline we apply to every project — and it operates within our ISO 9001 quality management system. We are explicit about that distinction, because presenting an internal standard as a third-party certification would be misleading.
What does AWEP mean for me as a client?
Three practical things. Your system is sized from your actual water rather than a catalogue. Its performance is measured and written down at handover, so there is a baseline to hold us to. And every subsequent service visit is compared against that baseline, which is what makes performance drift visible early.
Do I receive the AWEP documentation?
Yes. The signed checklist, the commissioning data sheet, the as-built drawing and the O&M manual are all handed over as part of project completion. They belong to you, and they are what a future engineer — ours or anyone else's — will need.
Does AWEP apply to service work as well as new plants?
Yes. Health checks, retrofits and AMC visits all measure against the same parameters and produce the same style of written record, including on third-party equipment where we establish a baseline at the first visit.
